April 2007 Tom Hester, founder of Skokie-based Hester Painting & Decorating, was recently named top honoree in the Full Service Contractor category of American Painting Contractor magazine’s first annual list, “Who’s Who in the Painting Industry.” Nominations were solicited across the country, and honorees were chosen by experts in the painting industry on the basis of business accomplishments, passion for the trade, industry commitment and community service.
“Since founding Hester Painting & Decorating in 1968, it’s been my mission to be the highest-quality painting contractor around,” said Tom Hester. “I’m so touched to receive such a distinguished honor from my industry peers.”
The painting, faux finishing and wall covering installation company now boasts a crew of 75 employees with two area showrooms, located in Skokie and downtown Chicago, and the company launched its first franchising opportunity this year. Tom Hester remains involved in business development issues and key client relationships.
